Lets Caffe is a Taiwanese coffee chain that allows customers to customize their coffee by putting a photo of themselves on the top of their coffee. Depending on the drink, the coffee machine reproduces the photo submitted in various decorating techniques.

This gimmick will probably catch on and become famous, not for the taste of the coffee, but for the innovative idea. Is it necessary? No, but it is definitely creative.
